Corti Symphony for medical coding converts unstructured clinical text into structured medical codes. These codes can be used for revenue cycle management, health statistics, looking up conditions in databases, and much more. Medical coding is complex. Each nation uses different coding systems. Within each nation, there are different coding systems in different setting, and the rules for how to use a system depends on the setting. For instance, in the US, you must use ICD-10-PCS to code procedures in the inpatient setting and use CPT to code in the outpatient setting and physician billing. For ICD-10 the rules change depending on the setting. For outpatient cases, you should only code established diagnoses, while in the inpatient setting you should also code uncertain diagnoses and even those that are ruled-out. Our API endpoint is designed to support the different scenarios and use cases. This documentation is intented to help you use the endpoint optimally for your needs.
Please review the Coding Systems page to learn more about supported coding systems, feature availability, and typical combinations by encounter type.
